About our Potentiometers:

• Aside from stringent customer requirements, the basic design criteria for our potentiometers is the military specifications - Mil-PRF-12934 for wirewound potentiometers and Mil-PRF-39023 for conductive plastic potentiometers. ZERO DEFECTS is the norm rather than the exception. Servo Instrument Corporation is ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9100:2004 certified.
  
• Our potentiometers have continuously supported the defense of the free world. We could list all the aircraft, missiles, ground vehicles and vessels on which we have been qualified but this list would be extremely long. In order to offer some insight to our support of military programs, our potentiometers guide missiles as far back as Nike to present "black" programs. Aircraft support from F-4, P-3, F-22, Stealth, C-130, C-135, C-141 and more recently the C-17 and futuristic development. Helicopters include CH-46, 47, 53, Blackhawk, SOWA, Apache and the Comanche. Our potentiometers are in space and recon camera controls as well as several commercial applications.
  
• In the commercial aircraft area, our potentiometers have been certified on the newest aircraft - C-717 (formerly MD-95).
  
• Virtually all commercial and general aviation aircraft to some extent utilize our potentiometers.
  
• We are also a major supplier for segments to the automotive industry, the construction industry and the agriculture industry.
  
• Obviously many of our customers have restricted our use of their names as well as the programs and, as can be understood, we have to keep this confidentiality.

About our Manufacturing and Test:

In order to control our manufacturing schedule and to afford our customers the most economical potentiometers, our machine shop is continuously being upgraded with computerized equipment. Also our manufacturing and test departments utilize computer controlled equipment. This equipment allows Servo Instrument to offer expeditious deliveries for the short run, or proof units to facilitate customer's needs. All the potentiometers manufactured by Servo Instrument are 100% tested by manufacturing prior to Quality Control. Quality Control also performs 100% inspection on all of the potentiometers it manufactures. All potentiometers manufactured for the first time have an internal First Article test performed prior to completion of additional units. Where required by the customer a First Article report is supplied with the first shipment. Many customers require testing to be performed in accordance with Mil-Std 202, NAS-710, Mil-Std-810 which is also accomplished. It is not out of the ordinary for some of our potentiometers to be 100% tested at extremely low temperature which is accomplished and the units are supplied with quantitative data. All inspection data is retained for a minimum of 10 years. When required, our system has been set-up to provide complete traceability. This is especially critical for space applications.
